I love the color "Virgin" from the Urban Decay Naked Palette, however they don't sell it on it's own. It depends on your baby, and it can change as they're growing. Luvs are the only diapers my nephew doesn't leak out of. I used to use Kirkland Signature (Costco brand) for my youngest (9 months) for a long time, but he started leaking out of those and now he's using Huggies Lil Movers. He leaks if I try to use Huggies Snug and Dry though. My older kids are both in pull ups, and Pampers work better on my 2 year old and Huggies work better on my 3 year old. I also used the Stop and Shop brand of diapers for my 2 year old and they worked great for her. So just try a few brands and see what works the best for your baby. More expensive doesn't always mean better.

So, in November, I started taking a drug similar to Accutane. I finished it in April, and the results were great! I don't get zits or cystic pimples anymore. Yet, there are these deep purplish red marks left over. It wouldn't bother me so much, but there is one right on the tip of my nose. Its the darkest one of all, and it is sort of raised. I can't cover it up with makeup, because its just SO pigmented, and it is super dry around that area. To make it worse there is a smaller one coming in behind it where I have NEVER had a zit? I talked to my 70 year old dermatologist about it and he said it was like ashes after the fire? That they would go away in a month or two. Obviously he was wrong. So, should I go see a difference dermatologist about it?

Can you get a birthmark later in life ?

I know it sounds stupid. & I know people get birthmarks at birth. But awhile ago I noticed this light brown patch on my inner thigh. Post Surgery Uncontrollable Urine?

About 6 months ago my male Terrier got diagnosed with a bladder stone. We couldnt afford things at the time, so we had a charity vet do it for us. We took great care of him after surgery and if anything seemed wrong we went to the vet for check ups. He is doing great, very energetic. But I have noticed when laying down, he uncontrollably pees. I usually let him snuggle with me at night but now I wake up with urine stains all over my bed. He doesn't mean to do it. I take him on multiple daily walks. I don't know how to fix it other then doggie diapers. Is there any permanent way to fix it. (He doesn't seem to notice at all when he urinates. Just a puddles when he gets up)

Questioning my doctor's expertise, can anyone help?

Today I went for a physical with my family doctor. He's a good doctor in the sense that he's compassionate and listens instead of rushing me out the door, but I feel that sometimes he dismisses questions that I have claiming "that's just the way you are" and things like that when I have serious concerns, and it frustrates me. For example, I was telling him that I've been having numbness in my legs pretty frequently lately and it feels like I may have a circulation problem. Also, I have these very prominent white spots all over my arms and legs. I've heard that it could be either a pigment deficiency or some type of fungus, and when I asked him he just looked at it and said "no, that's just the way you are". Am I asking stupid questions or something? I feel like he's treating me like a hypochondriac when I hardly even go to the doctor. Should I listen to him and dismiss it or get a second opinion? I fell asleep watching our daughter?

2 yr old's life jacket strap blistered inner leg...suggestions on healing it?

My husband allowed our son to swim the other day with just the life jacket on and swim diaper, instead of his swim trunks. He said they were in the pool for about 2 hours. When he got him out he realized the life jacket strap that goes between his legs had rubbed on him and he has about a 2 inch in length blister. Pro & con of reusable diapers?

I did use reusable diapers for about a month or so then i switched, i just couldn't keep up with them. The pros are you save TONS of money, diapers are not cheap at all. If you are going to go with reusable diapers i would buy at least 5 so you don't have to wash right after. I use to hand wash mine first then throw them in the washer, then hang them up to dry. There worth it if you really want to stick with it, the saving money does help alot lol.

How to get my hair all one shade?

From years of dying I have dark dark brown nearly black at the bottom of my hair, and fades up to a medium/dark brown with a tinge of red at the top of my hair (chestnutish). I would like to remove some dark pigment from the bottom of my hair and make the top of my hair slightly darker. I understand to get the top darker I will need to dye it, but how can I take the pigment out of the bottom without frying my hair? It only needs to be lightened a tiny bit. Ive trying dye removal products, they did nothing. Should a put some peroxide on the bottom for a half hour or something? Lemon juice? Froster kit? I don't have the money to go to a salon. My hair is usually pretty good about staying soft and silky no matter what I do to it: dyes, dye removal, curling, straightening, blow drying ect. Your advice?

Yes....we are all mortal. That should be reason enough for mutual respect. But, as a human, I get to indulge in my own prejudices and biases depending on how I feel that day. Darker spot on Birthmark?

I had a birth MOLE on my chest since I was born which was a pinkish-orange color (I'm white, so it was close to my skin color). A dark brown spot started forming right in the center of it when i was like 13, but I never thought much of it. I wanted to get the mole removed, because it always showed when i was in my swimsuit (I'm a competitive swimmer) and it was ugly looking. The dermatologist was concerned about the mark in the center, and decided to take it immediately off because it could be cancerous. Shea butter cream is lumpy?

I tried making a cloth diaper friendly diaper rash cream and I used raw Shea butter as the main ingredient. I used raw Shea butter, coconut oil, cocoa butter, aveeno colloidal ointment ( mixed with a little water to make it pasty) and a little bit of lanolin. Now it's been a week or so at room temp and there was lumps and mold looking stuff in it. Could it have gone bad? What ingredient could have caused it to do that? How do you store it once it has been mixed with other stuff?

White skin patches caused by vitiligo?

For the past 3 years I have noticed white patches of skin appearing on my torso. I have slightly tanned skin but usually tan quite dark in the sun which makes the patches more obvious. I've tried various reccomendations such as selsun shampoo but have noticed no change. Does anybody else have or had this problem and knows a way of helping the skin pigments grow back during this case of vitiligo? By researching the condition I have discovered it can be quite difficult to completely return to normal but I am open to any options with regards to evening out my skin to make it a bit more subtle.....

White patch, will the skin re-pigment?

i have pale skin but i currently have a slightly lighter whitish patch on my face. i had some spots there and i got a bit too agressive with exfoliating wipes and toner (which contains alcohol) so im pretty sure ive caused it myself. i guess in a sense its sorta a burn/chemical reaction.. im likely prone because ive had a lot of antibiotics recently, i dont actually have a skin condition where it just happens on its on (i know some people are unfortunate and have this) so i was wondering if mine will go away in time? when people get a red burn or when they get a tan their skin gradually starts to return to normal pigment.. so by the same logic will my normal pigment there return? =/

Well its just the culture. & just because a women puts on make up or nice clothes doesnt mean shes trying to "appeal to men" . Many girls love to get dressed up but its not for anyone but themselves. I wouldn't stock up on anything, because babies can be allergic or sensitive to anything. And diapers, every baby won't fit right in every brand. You may have a child who is allergic to all diapers and you have to go with cloth (like I did). Even in clothes, you are just estimating how big your child will be in what season.

How old are you? Are you anywhere close to getting your license? If so, then I think you could make it work eventually. If you still have a ways to go, I don't think it would be the best idea. Long distance relationships are hard, but can be done if you still get to see each other and all that. If you have no way of getting there though, you're not going to be able to see each other very often. If you'll be able to drive soon or could talk a parent into taking you, could take a bus or train, etc. I think it would be fine. If that's not possible, no one is really going to want to be in a relationship with someone that they can't ever see. It's just not that fun. Also, ask her out in person. With pan paint you just pick up color with a wet brush. You have to have an ash brown, or beige brown so it can tone down the red tones and look more like a golden brown. If you want to go back to you're natural hair color stick with the dark brown to black to even out from the bleach to hide all color that was mixed in you're hair. Then you can wait for at least 6 months to a year to color whatever tone you want. or you can Go with loreal, for dark hair color ultra light ash brown, cooler. It'll lighten you're hair if you have dark tones. or light beige brown, cooler. After you wash them, you may want to put them thru a 2nd rinse as many new borns are very sensitive so soaps. Also use a detergent that has no extra additives in it. I think maybe Purex is one. Read the labels. If you want to save a little money and have the time. Try rinsing them a second time in a separate but large tub. Then dry in dryer or hang on an inside or outside line. Hanging them inside or out will save you electricity costs as the dryer uses more electrical $$. Yes, in spite of all this, using your own diapers can save you lots and be very very good for you children. Keep an extra box of store bought disposable diapers handy in case you get tired or sick or unable for a few days to keep up with the home made diapers. How can I help out my brother-in-law who is a private in the Army who just found out he is a father?

okay, firstly, what colour eyes do you have, and do you want to emphasize that? I have green eyes, and I find that bronze looks great with my eye colour. I have this spot on my leg i say the size of a nickel, and its been there for a year and a half so far, it hasnt bother me, no pain no itching no nothing. Theres white hair growing out of it. You need to find a lot of patience and stamina. I honestly know that these past two months have been very long and hard. But, you have to understand that it's going to take a lot longer than two months. With both of your children, you and your husband need to be the ONLY ones doing the caretaking. With your daughter, especially, she needs to learn how a family functions. She has lived in an orphanage for two years, has had multiple caretakers and has learned to be charming to get what she wants from whatever adult is in front of her. It's how she's survived. She now needs to learn that you and your husband are the special people called Mom and Dad dedicated to taking care of her. It will take awhile. Don't let other people feed, comfort, bathe, or provide for any of her other major needs except for you and your husband. Your son may actually be having more difficult behavior right now, but I'm actually betting he comes around before your daughter. He's showing preference for a single caretaker, and that actually IS a good sign. He needs that right now, and when he starts to become more secure that his needs are being taken care of, he'll start to slowly but surely let you in. My daughter did not behave this severely for this long, but she preferred Daddy at first. It is hard. When he goes to Daddy to have a need met, Daddy needs to VERBALLY say, while handing him to you, "Mommy is good at feeding you. She will take care of you." I crochet baby clothes, but not being a mother myself I don't really know what is ideal. So, the mothers of babies out there, would you prefer straps that were adjustable (tie or buttons?) or straps that were sewn on and couldn't be moved? Is this just a phase my daughter is going through?

My daughter is 19 months old. The past week or so, she freaks out whenever I try to take off her shirt. As soon as I grab the sleeve to pull her arm through it, she instantly starts crying and trying to reach for me as if im going to take her shirt off and leave. She doesn't cry when I take off her shoes, socks, pants, or diaper. It's just taking off her shirt. She has never reacted this way before. I think it might be because she went to the dr last week and they had me remove her clothes to weigh her. But she has been to the dr plenty of times with regular check-ups and shots and each time I have had to remove her clothes to weigh her and she has never reacted this way afterwards. Has this ever happened to any of your children before?

5 year old pees on himself on purpose and throws tantrums. I'm so frustrated?

My son is 5 years old. He has been potty trained for almost 2 years. About 3 months ago he wet the bed. I felt horrible for him, told him it would be okay, changed him and sent him back to bed. Well, he has wet the bed about 90% of the time since then but, only at bedtime. Plus he never wets the bed at the sitters, my brothers, his mothers... anywhere but at home. He goes to the restroom before bed. Most times he only urinates a tiny bit in his pants but, it's enough for him to tell me "daddy, I peed my pants". The first month or so I was very compassionate and understanding. The next month I didn't say a word to him when it happened, just changed him and sent him back to bed. Recently I have started making him stand in the corner for a few minutes and then change him. I make him help me clean the mess almost every time. I've tried positive reinforcement, encouragement, silence, punishment... everything I can think of but, he continues to wet the bed. Everything I'm reading online says that very rarely will a child wet himself on purpose but, I'm 99% confident that this is the case. I don't know if he's trying to get attention, if he's trying to test me, if he sees it as an excuse to not go to sleep... I just don't know. Most times it seems like a game to him... he'll have a smile on his face when he tells me he wet himself. I've even went to the extent of threatening to put him back in a diaper at bedtime. He laughs at me Usually, when I threaten something I intend on backing it up but, I just couldn't bring myself to put him back in a diaper. I am 6 months pregnant with my second child and my 16 month old daughter never wants to put on clothes nor does she ever want her diaper changed. If I change her on the floor, she picks up the clothing or diapers and runs around the room with them. If I change her on her bed, she pees all over and refuses to stay still. If I change her on my bed, she crawls away and jumps on the bed squealing and she will do all of the above for 20 or 30 minutes at a time. Sometimes, when I manage to get her to lie down she will kick me in the stomach profusely til the point where I literally have footprints on my stomach afterward from her kicking me. It's extremely frustrating because I am getting so much bigger and more exhausted that I honestly do not have the energy to chase her all over the bed or all around the room a million times a day. With this pregnancy, I have a problem with excessive sweating and the more I chase her around the more I sweat and the more aggravated and anxious I become because the sweating makes me so uncomfortable. I mean I sweat everywhere under my arms, under my boobs, in between my legs, my back, my face. I don't want to force her or yell at her because really that is the only extremely annoying thing she does, but I don't really know how to break this habit of hers. Please help!
