Is it possible to be allergic to a gender?

So my sister and I spent the day watching some rather terrible anime on netflix for fun, and one of them was about a boy who was allergic to girls. At first I thought that was basically ridiculous and impossible, but I've heard of women convinced they were pregnant start lactating, and not actually be pregnant, so I was curious as to whether a sort of de facto 'allergy' like hives could be achieved with a stimuli of something similar to gender.
