Help! Hair lengths not taking colour?

Please dont tell me to leave it alone as its horrid!! been in tears. Had lovely dark dyed brown/black hair on Sunday morning, decided to use colour b4 to strip colour out and it turned a lightish brown so then I bleached it twice and it came out white/orange, put a colour over went green so got a hairdresser to tone it yesterday but decided I am no blonde and look better dark so applied a bright red last night to re pigment the hair then applied my usual brown/black colour, looks lovely on root area but lengths have not took the colour very well and look a light brown/grayish colour! What can I do I have an important event next week and cant keep it like this? Help me please someone
